Mandela: A Message to President Goodluck Jonathan.

Dear Mr. President, thank you for accepting the death of Nelson Mandela in good faith. He is now resting and he is now at peace. Mandela was a man who taught a deeply divided nation on how to come together, he was a unifier of all time. I am writing this letter with great weightiness in my heart for my sisters and brothers who have chosen to stay home for one hundred and fifty-eight days due to unresolved ASUU (Academic Staff Union of Universities) strike. Mr. President Sir, I want to bring to your notice that Mandela was alive to passionately serve humanity, I surely know if a ransom was to be paid for his life, millions would have come out to lay their lives for his sake. Mandela was never a leader by choice; he was a model for leadership.Sir, going through your statement about his death, about how Mandela made unparalleled personal sacrifices, my beloved president, make unparallel sacrifices too so as to ensure speedy resumption of our universities lecturers. Our Indefatigable President Sir, also note that Nelson Mandela through his quote “Education is the most powerful weapon which you use to change the world”. This shows that Mandela believed in sound education for his people, no wonder, South Africa Universities is at the apex of all Universities in Africa,of which our universities here continue to suffer at the base. Mr. President, Continue to dream his dreams. Continue to champion his doggedness for humanity. Continue to promote justice and equity for all. Continue to promote what is unity and love among all and his legacy will continue to live in us. Please Mr. President, learn from the father of the people, a freedom fighter who rejected violence.
